We all know John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are the ultimate couple goals, but their love story has been 13 years in the making.

Legend celebrated the recent Valentine's Day holiday by uploading a sweet animated episode to his Facebook series titled "Dear John: Legendary Love Letters." In the four-minute clip, he details his instant connection with his now-wife, and how they fell in love.

The duo met in 2007 on the set of Legend's music video for "Stereo," in which Teigen plays Legend's love interest. "We had chemistry on the video shoot, we hung out that night, we stayed in touch over text and over the phone, we would meet up whenever I came to LA," Legend recalled.

"One of the cool things about Chrissy is that she's really clever and funny on Twitter. This was before Twitter," he continued. "I would text her and she would write me the funniest replies and she would always make me laugh, always make me smile. And every time I was away from her, I started to miss her. I was thinking, 'Oh, this might be something real.'"

They then took a trip to Lake Cuomo together, where they truly fell in love. Seven years later, the couple returned to Lake Cuomo to get married. "It's pretty amazing," the animated Legend concluded, now dressed as Cupid. "Our love story started with flirtation, conversation in the darks and blossomed into a marriage and two beautiful kids."
