You can now call him Neil Young, U.S. citizen.

That's right, the iconic singer-songwriter, who was born in Canada but has lived in the United States since the 1960s, has finally gotten his official citizenship.

In a sweet video posted by TMZ, the 74-year-old Young is seen coming down an escalator at Tom Bradley Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center alongside his wife Daryl Hannah, holding his paperwork and waving a small American flag. Fans cheered and congratulated him as he walked by.

Young recently decided to apply for dual citizenship so he can vote in the 2020 presidential election. An update on his website, funnily titled "I'm Happy to Report I'm In!!," shows a photo of the legend saluting next to a voter registration table that reads, "Democrats register to vote here."

It seems we'll be hearing more from Young as the election nears!
