Presented by triple j, Laneway Presents, Frontier Touring, and Chugg Entertainment, the tour is scheduled to wrap April 28 in Parker’s hometown Perth, at RAC Arena.
Texas three-piece Khruangbin is confirmed as support act on what will be Tame Impala’s first trek Down Under for nearly four years.
Also announced today, a donation from Tame Impala’s 2020 tour will be made to bushfire relief efforts. “I’ve been hanging out to tour Australia for a long time now so I’m super excited to be able to finally be able to announce," comments Parker in a statement. "In the past few weeks I’ve been devastated to see what’s been happening with the fires at home and we want to do our bit to help, so we’re going to be donating $A300,000 ($206,000) to bushfire relief charities.”
The Slow Rush will drop Feb. 14. Tame Impala will warm up for the Australian dates with a handful of shows in the U.S. and Mexico in March. They’ll return in May for a major trek which includes slots at Bonnaroo, Texas' Fortress Festival, and Governors Ball.
