Third Day's Mac Powell is asking for fans to keep his wife, Aimee, in their prayers.

The Christian star took to Instagram over the weekend to share that Aimee was taken to the hospital after "her head was hurting terribly." The doctors conducted a CT scan and "found bleeding on her brain and believe it is an aneurysm."

In a follow-up post following the necessary prodecure on Aimee's brain, Powell noted that doctors "put in 2 coils which will keep the aneurysm from bleeding and possibly rupturing. Her head is hurting really bad. She'll be kept for many days to be tested and monitored." The photo showed his wife in a hospital bed with her mother by her side.

In the most recent update on Sunday night (Dec. 1), Powell shared a photo of the gorgeous bouquet of flowers he bought for his love. "We are overwhelmed and blown away by the love, support, and prayers that you all have sent our way. Keep praying!"

As for her medical status, Aimee's head is still hurting without much help from pain medication. "Eventually as the blood from the rupture leaves her brain it will work it’s way down to the neck and then her back," Powell wrote. "She’s getting a lot of rest- unfortunately, it’s usually only about 10 minutes of uninterrupted time with all the doctor and nurse visits and the alarms and beeps from the monitors."

"She hasn’t eaten in probably 36 hrs or so. Pray that her appetite starts to return so that she’ll get the strength to start moving a little bit. All signs are good so far. There doesn’t seem to be any negative neurological signs yet for physical or mental deficiencies."

These are the beautiful flowers I bought Aimee yesterday but didn’t get to take in her room -- We are overwhelmed and blown away by the love, support, and prayers that you all have sent our way. Keep praying! Here’s a quick update I wrote earlier: The update so far for today: Aimee is in a lot of pain in her head. They have given her meds for it but nothing will completely help. They say the pain is going to be there. Eventually as the blood from the rupture leaves her brain it will work it’s way down to the neck and then her back.
