David Musumeci and Anthony Egizii of hitmaking Australian songwriter and production team DNA Songs have signed a global deal with Universal Music Publishing Australia.

The Sydney-based duo’s hit list is an impressive one. They’ve notched seven No. 1s on the ARIA singles chart and 20 top 10s, while shifting north of 8.5 million units.

Through a long-term production deal struck with Sony Music, their musical DNA can be heard on recordings by the likes of Ricky Martin, The Veronicas, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Delta Goodrem, and Dami Im.

Also, Musumeci and Egizii co-wrote and produced six songs on Mauboy’s fourth and latest studio album HILDA, the current No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

“David and Anthony have set the benchmark for songwriters and producers in this country, having been behind so many of Australia’s biggest hits, so it’s an immense honour to welcome DNA to our UMPG family,” explains Arwen Hunt, VP, creative/A&R at UMPG Australia & New Zealand in a statement. “We look forward to working with the guys, and their exceptional manager Di Torossian, in extending their credentials to the global success and recognition we all know they deserve.”

DNA Songs’ trophy cabinet is heaving with APRA Awards and ARIA platinum honors and the pair have taken out the coveted Marcel Bezencon Composer Award in the Best and Most Original Composition category for Dami Im’s "Sound Of Silence," which was awarded second place at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.
