Everything Bruno Mars Has Been Up to Since 2016's '24K Magic'

Bruno Mars rocked the music world with his 2016 album, 24K Magic, with songs like the title track, "That's What I Like" and "Versace on the Floor" becoming inescapable at their peak.  

The crooner had fans stirring again on Monday (Oct. 21) by posting a cryptic photo from what appears to be the recording studio, leading the Internet to believe a new album might be on the way.

In celebration of the potential new music, Billboard has compiled a timeline of what Mars has been up to since 24K Magic, full of awards, shows and fun collabs. Check it out below.

November 2016 - Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
The crooner performed his high energy "24K Magic" as famous supermodels Bella Hadid and Stella Maxwell strutted down the runway in elaborate lingerie. Mars himself opted for a sleek tux and his signature sunglasses. 

December 2016 - Carpool Karaoke
In James Corden's popular Carpool Karaoke series, the duo jammed to his new music and chatted about Elvis. Mars told Corden about knowing he wanted to be a performer at 4-years-old when he impersonated Elvis onstage. "In this car right now, you're young Elvis, and I'm fat Elvis when he's in Vegas," Corden joked. 

February 2017 - Prince tribute at the Grammys?
The crooner joined The Time to honor the late icon, who passed away in April 2016. Mars came decked dressed in a Purple Rain glam suit, and a lyre-shaped guitar with the leopard-patterned strap.

March 2017 - 24K Magic tour kicks off
The 200-date tour stretched all the way through the end of 2018, hitting four continents and became the fourth-highest grossing tour of 2018. The second North American leg, which kicked off in September 2018, was scheduled to feature Cardi B as a guest, but the rapper pulled out due to how recently she gave birth. Ciara, Charlie Wilson, Ella Mai and Boyz II Men were added as replacements.

May 2017 - "That's What I Like" hits No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100
The tune climbed from No. 3 to the top spot, becoming Mars' seventh Hot 100 chart topper.

August 2017 - Teen Choice Awards
Mars is being given the Visionary Award for his success in pop music. He was also nominated for six awards: choice male artist, choice song: male artist, choice summer song and choice R&B/Hip-Hop song for "That's What I Like," choice pop song for "24K Magic" and choice summer tour.

November 2017 - American Music Awards
Though he wasn't physically at the ceremony, Mars took home seven awards: favorite artist of the year, favorite male artist pop/rock, favorite album pop/rock for 24K Magic, favorite male artist soul/R&B, favorite album soul/R&B, video of the year and favorite song soul/R&B for "That's What I Like." 

January 2018 - "Finesse (Remix)"
Cardi B and Mars teamed up for the nostalgic 2x platinum jam, "Finesse (Remix)," along with an In Living Color-inspired music video. The tune peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100 on the chart dated Jan. 20, 2018.

January 2018 - Big night at the Grammys?
Mars took the stage to perform "Finesse" alongside Cardi B, and went home with six awards, including R&B album, album and record of the year for 24K Magic, song of the year R&B song and R&B performance for "That's What I Like."

September 2018 - "Wake Up in the Sky"
Mars, Gucci Mane and Kodak Black formed an 80s supergroup in the vintage video for Mane's tune. "I drink 'til I'm drunk (yeah) / Smoke 'til I'm high (yeah) / Castle on the hill (well damn), wake up in the sky
/ You can't tell me I ain't fly," Mars croons in the hook.

November 2018 - Giving back to his home state
To end his highly successful tour, the crooner announced that he'll provide 24,000 meals to Hawaiian residents in need this Thanksgiving. The "24K" meals were provided to the Salvation Army.

February 2019 - Vegas residency
Mars announced eleven shows from April 29 to Sept. 14 inside the Park Theater at Park MGM.

March 2019 - "Please Me"
Mars called on Cardi B once more for another banger, the sultry "Please Me." The accompanying video, that takes place in a Los Angeles taco joint, is full of flirtatious fun.  "Please me, baby/Turn around and just tease me, baby/You know what I want and what I need, baby," Mars belts in the chorus.
