Following a one-time-only headlining performance at the Hollywood Bowl alongside H.E.R., Ms. Lauryn Hill wasn't done with Los Angeles yet. The icon announced just a day before that she would be delivering a special performance at the Mayan in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday (Oct. 18).

With a line wrapped around the block, the show featured two openers, reggae chanteuse Tara Harrison and newcomer Juto, who announced that the high-profile gig was his second performance ever.

The clock almost struck midnight, and Hill took the stage to an intimate crowd of chanting fans in the 1700 capacity room. Decked in a striped gown, Hill performed into the early morning, but there were certainly no complaints about the late night. She rolled out all the favorites, including "Ready or Not" and "Killing Me Softly."

Hill brought in various styles to her performance, adding a section featuring just her and an acoustic guitar to truly showcase her vocal talent.
