Eric Bresler is exiting the Chase Center in San Francisco, the newly opened home to the Golden State Warriors, after three years working with the team. Bresler said he is taking a break after completing the successful opening of the arena and planning to take time off before deciding what's next in his career.

"I am immensely appreciative to the Warriors for giving me the oppprtunity to open the building and to the entertainment community of supporters who made us feel so warmly received," he tells Billboard. "I want to thank the Warriors for the support they have shown me and I am truly appreciative for the opportunity I had here at the Chase Center."

Bresler tells Billboard he had no specific plans at the moment but is "excited for what the future holds and what life has in store."

Bresler's exit was announced today with a statement from Warriors president and chief operating officer Rick Welts saying "after spending the last few years setting us up for success by creating an amazing opening at Chase Center, with an unprecedented lineup for the first month of opening, Eric Bresler has decided to seek a new challenge. We want to thank Eric for his hard work and efforts in creating one of the most memorable openings in arena history."

Bresler joined the Chase Center as executive director in 2016 and directed the overall activation of the $1 billion arena in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood including programming, content development and venue operations. His last day at Chase Center will be Nov. 1.

Bresler had previously worked at AEG Facilities as vp of event booking and development and served as vp of arena bookings and marketing for the Heat Group/American Airlines Arena in Miami.
