The Voice auditions are coming to a close, with all four judges getting increasingly picky to fill up their teams' last spots. But for contestant Matthew McQueen, his path on the show may have been solidified by a dreamy omen.

On Monday night's episode, the crooner belted Lewis Capaldi?'s "Someone You Loved," which caught the attention of Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton

The four judges were quick to comment on McQueen's dashing looks, with John Legend comparing him to everything from Tom Cruise to "a very handsome movie villain."

Shelton took to opportunity to rag on his girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who said she was saving her team's last spot for a girl. "I keep hearing, ‘I only have one spot left and I was waiting for a girl.' I only had one spot left on my team too and I was waiting for a duo. I was waiting for a female twin duo and all of a sudden there you were. And I want to give my female twin duo spot that I was holding to you," the country superstar joked.

"Listen man, I have coached the winner of this show six times and only a handful of them were country artists," Shelton continued on a more serious note. "It doesn’t matter what lane your coach is in, it’s what lane your coach can put you in."

McQueen then revealed a prophecy that was fulfilled. "My sister and my grandmother had a dream that this coach turned around for me and that person is Blake Shelton," he explained before ultimately picking the country star as his coach.
