After watching a few segments of “Kellyoke” on The Kelly Clarkson Show, fans might be wondering, “What exactly can’t Kelly Clarkson cover?” Well, check off “sing every part of One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’” because she did just that on Thursday’s (Oct. 10) show while paying homage to the former English-Irish pop boy band.

She kicked off their No. 4 hit by singing Liam Payne’s verse and Harry Styles’ pre-chorus before diving into their beloved chorus with the assistance of a singular backup singer.

The inaugural American Idol winner’s vocals were as bold as her cheetah-print shirt. And as the marquee lights pulsed in the background to “Baby, you light up my world like nobody else,” she sparked the reaffirming titular words “You don’t know, you don’t know you’re beautiful/ That’s what makes you beautiful” into her audience.
