Kelly Clarkson turned her chair around for The Voice's Damali so last minute, that fellow coach Blake Shelton didn't even realize it happened.

"I'm sorry about this," Shelton told the songstress, who he believed didn't get chosen for her cover of Billie Eilish's "Ocean Eyes." "You know, sometimes--"

"I turned," Clarkson interjected, after which the country crooner hilariously changed his original statement to Damali, this time saying, "I am so excited for you about this."

"I was going to turn way before I did, but I was going to trick them and wait until the very last second," Clarkson explained, noting that she didn't want the other coaches to turn their chairs and try to steal Damali. "I love your voice, and I thought you were very tasteful with all your selections, and I'm very excited to work with you."
