Two years after the release of his Billboard 200 chart topping solo album, Flicker, Niall Horan is finally back for a new era. On Friday (Oct. 5), the crooner unveiled "Nice to Meet Ya," the playful lead single from his sophomore record.

“It’s been nearly two years since I released Flicker and I can’t wait to get going again. Writing ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ in particular, was a special one for me," Horan said of the track, which he co-wrote with longtime collaborator Julian Bunetta, Tobias Jesso, Jr. and Ruth-Anne Cunningham. "It gave me a chance to experiment musically and I’m so excited to finally share it with everyone.”

The accompanying video, directed by The Young Astronauts and shot in London, traces a day in his extraordinary life, as the Irishman gets suited up, hits the bars with his buddies and flirts with a beautiful lady.

Back in June, the former One Direction band member revealed that new music would arrive by the end of this year. In September, he tweeted, "I’m laying here listening to songs from my new record and I’m so excited to get going. Can’t wait for you to hear the fun I’ve been having over the last year."

The upcoming album doesn't have a title or release date yet, but in the meantime, watch the "Nice to Meet Ya" video below.
