Now that the Latina dynamic duo of Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are confirmed to co-headline the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show, it’s time to speculate about who will kick off the Big Game by performing the national anthem.

Super Bowl LIV will take place Feb 2, 2020, at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, so it makes sense to bring out a hometown hero for the event like Gloria Estefan, Camila Cabello or Pitbull. Although originally from NYC, Marc Anthony, who was married to Lopez from 2004 to 2014, staked a claim in the city when he became a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins in 2009. He even sang the national anthem when the NFL team hosted the New York Jets on “Monday Night Football.”

But when it comes to the popular patriotic song, Lana Del Rey could take the cake because of her 2012 broody ballad “National Anthem.” Also from the pop hemisphere, chart-topping artists like Billboard Hot 100-reigning Lizzo, current Billboard cover star Kesha, Billboard 200-peaking Post Malone, Ariana Grande or Bruno Mars make for top contenders for the performance slot.

But the Super Bowl is a great time to honor the greats, so what would be a better time to bring out Barbra Streisand, “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul” Mary J. Blige or the 25-time Grammy-winning Stevie Wonder to do the honors?

Vote below for who should sing the national anthem ahead of the 54th Super Bowl!
