Angela Lansbury, known for giving life to character Jessica Fletcher in the American crime drama television series, Murder, She Wrote, has at last heard the classic reggae tune inspired by the title.

In an interview with CBC's Radio Q, the 93-year-old actress reacted to Chaka Demus & Pliers' "Murder, She Wrote" for the first time. Upon hearing the title, she bursts into laughter and says, "That’s very funny. What are they? A group?"

When she's told that the duo are "sort of legends in reggae music," Lansbury sweetly replies, "Oh, reggae! Oh, I’m thrilled to be part of reggae. Of course."

Back in 1993, Chaka Demus & Pliers' "Murder She Wrote" hit No. 5 on Hot Rap Songs, No. 39 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 57 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. The tune was released in the midst of the show's run, which spanned from 1984 to 1996.
