Lizzo Presented With Billboard Hot 100 & RIAA Plaques

Lizzo rocked her second sold-out night at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Tuesday night (Sept. 24), but that wasn't the only thing to celebrate.

The songstress was presented by her Atlantic, Nice Life and Full Stop teams with a number of plaques, the first for her hit single “Truth Hurts” topping the Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks, the longest for a female rap artist unaccompanied by another act. She also received a number of RIAA plaques, for "Truth Hurts" becoming certified 2x Platinum, “Good as Hell” reaching Platinum status, "Juice" reaching certified Gold and her album CUZ I LOVE YOU being RIAA-certified Gold.

"I don't know what type of magical honey was in my throat when I woke up that morning, but shit,” Lizzo recently told Billboard of writing "Truth Hurts" after a guy told her to stop calling him because he decided to back together with his ex. “Every motherf---ing thing I said was the goddamn song!"
