Rihanna took to the red carpet at her fifth annual Diamond Ball on Thursday (Sept. 12) to respond to recent rumors she’d be joining an upcoming Batman film as Poison Ivy.

It all started when RiRi posted a close-up video of her Fenty boots on Instagram with the caption, “bat-mobile , but make it fashion! get into this matte leather-rubber fusion tho.”

“Oh, that?” she responded when asked by Entertainment Tonight about the possible tease. “That? Are you serious? That has nothing to do with Poison Ivy.”

The superstar was quick to add that the post had “a lot to do” with the Caped Crusader -- hence the Batmobile reference -- but that she has a “bigger obsession with Poison Ivy,” and was even inspired to dye her hair red because of Uma Thurman’s performance as the supervillain in 1997’s Batman and Robin.

However, if the DC Universe came knocking, Rihanna made it clear that she would be open to the opportunity.

“You know what, they didn’t call me yet,” she said. “But if they did, I would love to go in and try out because Poison Ivy is one of my obsessions in life. I did it for Halloween one year, I mean, come on!”
