Kevin Garrett

Kevin Garrett is the go-to guy for the heartbroken and the lovestruck, as his melodic tunes and lyrics continue to present an audio representation of how the bumpy course of love feels.

His latest offering, "Factor In," is no different. Over airy harmonies and a string of piano notes, Garrett comes face-to-face with the power someone has over his heart, no matter how hard he tries to forget them. "Always thought I felt the same, oh, but actually/ You had the traction, and/ One look at you and I start to crash/ Can you see the way that you factor in?" he muses with his characteristically mellifluous vocals.

The message hits even harder at the end of the song. He chants "It's a shame, it's a shame, it's the same thing" repeatedly, capturing the recurrent, yet all-too-familiar, nature of trying to move on and failing.

"Factor In" comes on the heels of his latest album, Hoax, released in March. The crooner is currently supporting BANKS on tour, with tickets available for purchase here.
