Alessia Cara in the lyric video for "OKAY OKAY"

Alessia Cara opens her newest single, "Okay Okay," with the line: "My best friend said to me, 'I know just what we need/A song of yours?that?we could feel?ourselves to.'" Now the Grammy winner and that very same BFF are cruising around town for the tune's new lyric video.

In a clip uploaded on Friday (Aug. 30), Cara and her pal pull their own version of Carpool Karaoke, lip-syncing to the empowering summer jam while driving around in a convertible with the top down. The carefree, youthful energy of the clip aligns perfectly with the lyrics, "Turn pain into a paycheck/Should see me in a sundress/I do it all with ease, I should give lessons (Okay, Okay, Okay)."

"Okay Okay" follows previously released singles "Ready" and "Rooting For You." All three songs will be featured on the songstress' upcoming EP, This Summer, out Oct. 6. The six-song compilation comes less than a year after the release of her sophomore album, The Pains of Growing.

Following This Summer's release, Cara is heading out on the road for her own U.S. headlining tour, beginning Oct. 21 in Boston. Tickets are on sale here.
