Taylor Swift performs with Niall Horan on stage during the first night of the London leg of her reputation Stadium Tour at Wembley Stadium on June 22, 2018 in London, England.

Niall Horan is supporting his fellow pop singer. The former One Direction star took to Instagram story on Tuesday (Aug. 27) to praise Taylor Swift's title track from her new album, Lover.

"This song is a classic and it's so important for music," he wrote on a screenshot of the tune. Swift reposted the sweet comment, thanking Horan for his kind words. The two performed together during the London stop of Swift's Reputation stadium tour, where she brought out Horan for a performance of his hit tune, "Slow Hands."

"Lover" is an old-school reminiscent love song simply about the joys of romance. "Can I go where you go?/Can we always be this close forever and ever?/And take me out, and take me home/You're my, my, my, my lover," she sings in the charming chorus.
