Barack Obama's summer playlist made the rounds this weekend, and many of the artists whose songs are featured on it immediately took to social media to react to the nod from the former president.

"WE’RE FRIENDS NOW I DONT MAKE THE RULES!!!" announced Lizzo, who had just tweeted about Obama an hour before he released his new playlist. "STREAM JUICE!!! OBAMA’S 6# FAVORITE SONG RN."

Maggie Rogers, meanwhile, offered an otherworldly scream on Instagram in response to the news.

She captioned her clip: "interrupting my vacation social media celibacy for this important @barackobama message."

"Meeting President Obama is on my bucket list, but this will most definitely work for now," 2 Chainz wrote when sharing the playlist with his followers.
