'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' Mashes Up Beyonce, Madonna & More for 'The Sparkling Diamond': Listen

"The Sparkling Diamond" is the dazzling first recording to be released from Broadway's Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

Like most songs in the musical, it's a mash-up of pure pop bliss, including pieces of Shirley Bassey's "Diamonds Are Forever," Madonna's "Material Girl," Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" and more. Listen below.

The complete Original Broadway Cast Recording will be released digitally on Aug. 30, with a physical edition to follow at a later date.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical, based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film, opened July 25 at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The score includes 13 original mash-ups, incorporating parts of 70 different pop tracks.

The cast is led by Karen Olivo as Satine, Aaron Tveit as Christian, Danny Burstein and Sahr Ngaujah.
