White Stripes to Release 20th Anniversary Version of Self-Titled Debut Album

It's been 20 years since the release of the White Stripes' self-titled debut album, and to celebrate the occasion, the band is releasing a deluxe edition of the record.

The White Stripes XX the package includes unreleased outtakes from the album’s recording sessions, the Live at the Ritz – Raleigh, NC – 09/26/99 LP, a DVD of footage from two 1999 performances and a 24-page archival booklet with photos, lyrics and flyers and. Fans can sign up to buy it now through October 31 at 12 a.m. CST. It's priced at $60 USD. 

“The tracks collected here present the listener with an alternate reality version of how — after a few non-aberrant turns and divergent creative paths — the White Stripes self-titled album could exist in a completely different space,” the announcement reads.
