Lance Bass came out to the public in 2006, but he revealed that Britney Spears knew two years before.

The *NSYNC star stopped by Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, where he told the story of how he admitted to Spears he was gay to make her stop crying after her Vegas wedding to Jason Alexander in January 2004, which was annulled less than three days later.

“It was the night that she got married the first time in Vegas to Jason. So I went up to Vegas to kind of see the craziness that was happening. And she was a little upset once she realized what she had done because, you know, it was a funny thing,” he explained. “And then she started really crying and she was so upset.”

“And so I took her to her room and we were sitting on her bed and she wouldn’t stop crying, so I was like, ‘I’m gay,'” Bass continued with a shoulder shrug. “And it made her stop crying. She chuckled.”

Bass went on to marry Michael Turchin in 2014. Watch his recount of the Vegas night below.
