Beyonce Knowles-Carter attends the European Premiere of "The Lion King" at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on July 14, 2019 in London.

Featuring Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino and her husband Jay-Z, there's no denying Beyoncé's The Lion King: The Gift has major star power. The album, out Friday (July 19), seamlessly blends afrobeats, rap, R&B and pop in what the superstar calls her "love letter to Africa."

Appropriately, The Gift also features some of Africa's biggest artists, including Nigeria's Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy.

While "Spirit," "Bigger" and "Find Your Way Back" are all solid Beyoncé-fronted bops, tracks like "My Power" featuring Tierra Whack and Nija and "Nile" with Lamar bring beats that are fiercely intense. We also can't forget the upbeat, feel-good track "Brown Skin Girl," featuring an adorable cameo from Blue Ivy.
