Cold War Kids Drop Singles 'Complainer' & '4th of July': Listen

Cold War Kids

It's been two years since Cold War Kids' last album, 2017's LA Divine, and now the boys are back, announcing their next effort, NEW AGE NORMS.

Along with the announcement, the band dropped the two lead singles, "Complainer" and "4th of July." The first takes on a person we all know, who talks the talk but doesn't necessarily walk the walk. "Now you're out on your own, don't know where you belong/Don't sit around and complain about it/You say you want to change this world/Don't sit around and complain about it," the hook rings in the upbeat, funky tune. The latter takes a more sentimental tone, reminiscing on easy summer nights.

Cold War Kids will also embark on a U.S. headlining tour in October and November. Fan presales begin Wednesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. PST, with tickets available to the general public beginning Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. local time. NEW AGE NORMS is out this fall. In the meantime, listen to "Complainer" and "4th of July" below.
