Nipsey Hussle's Final Music Video, DJ Khaled's 'Higher,' Is Here

Nipsey Hussle is gone, but not forgotten.

DJ Khaled’s new release “Higher” stars Nipsey and John Legend, and its music video ensures the late hip-hop star remains in fans' thoughts.

Directed by Eif Rivera (50 Cent, French Montana, Lil Wayne), the clip opens with a tribute to Nipsey, who lost his life March 31 in a senseless shooting outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. The music video was cut just days before his death, and it's said to be Nipsey's final performance captured on film.

“Higher” is a homage to L.A. and Nipsey, looking dapper in blue, is one of its focal points. The uplifting promo, awash with blue hues, also sees Legend behind a grand piano and the pair team up with DJ Khaled for a rooftop jam.

"A gift from my brother Nipsey Hussle! The Marathon continues," DJ Khaled tweeted. "Long Live Nip!" The closing credits also read, “Rest in Paradise Ermias ‘Nipsey Hussle’ Asghedom,” above the Marathon logo.

"Higher" appears on DJ Khaled’s collab-filled new album Father of Asahd, which dropped at midnight.
