The singer of the original Pokémon theme song, Jason Paige, is back again with his own unofficial theme for the franchise's upcoming Detective Pikachu movie. The singer released his new song just in time for the film's release Friday.

The original "Pokemon Theme," written by John Loeffler and John Siegler, became a global sensation when it debuted in 1998 and went on to become one of the most widely recognized songs related to the Pokémon franchise. Now, with the Detective Pikachu film bringing the world of Pokémon to life once again, starring Ryan Reynolds' as the voice of Pikachu, Paige is back to make his mark on the first-ever live-action adaption of the media franchise.

Paige theme song, titled "It'll Always Be Me & You," was released on Paige's personal YouTube account and is not affiliated with the upcoming film. The song has a heavy electric guitar sound and echoes both the lyrics and musical energy of the original "Pokémon Theme."
