Shawn Mendes attends The Brit Awards 2019 held at the O2 Arena on Feb. 20, 2019 in London, England.

Shawn Mendes hopped on Instagram on Wednesday (May 1) to announce a little treat for his fans in between the European and U.S. dates of his world tour. The crooner is dropping a new single, "If I Can't Have You," on May 3.

Mendes revealed the news on Instagram with a colorful, dreamy graphic that aligns with his floral, warm-toned aesthetic lately. The teaser clip doesn't have sound, so we'll have to wait until the release to hear the tune. In the meantime, fans can pre-order the single here and shop the vinyl collection for the tune, which includes records, cassettes and CDs in shades of pink, orange and blue.

"If I Can't Have You" will mark the singer's first solo release since his 2018 self-titled album. See Mendes' announcement below.
