Still Woozy

Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's series that showcases artists' very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.

This week's spin comes from Still Woozy. The Oakland, Calif., electronic-funk newcomer first bubbled up back in 2017 with a string of bedroom-produced gems including "Cooks," "Goodie Bag," "Lucy," "Habit" and his most recent bop "Lava," which have collectively netted more than 86 million spins on Spotify alone. The buzzy upstart (born Sven Gamsky) rocked the Coachella stage earlier this month and is currently in the midst of a sweeping tour, booked by WME in Europe, Asia and Australia and Paradigm in North & South America, with stops at Brighton, U.K.'s The Great Escape and Paris, France's Oberkampf Music Festival in May, before hitting the U.S. festival circuit, with stops at New York's Governors Ball in June and Chicago's Lollapalooza in August.

Ahead of his continued global ascent, the shadowy producer crafted this week's #TBT Mixtape as an ode to his musical education growing up and featuring a heady mix of genres from hip-hop and R&B to rock, soul and pop -- with cuts from Cam'ron, Jimi Hendrix, Mase, Sublime and even Avril Lavigne.

"I've always been an obsessive listener," Gamsky tells Billboard. "If there was something that managed to catch my ear I wanted to live in it. These songs are some of those that I grew up in."
