Maddie Ziegler has already mastered the art of dramatic choreography, as she's been Sia's collaborator and dance foil of choice since 2014, when the Dance Moms alum starred in the stage-shy pop star's music video for "Chandelier."

Now, she's hanging up her fringed wig for the time being and picking up one of the most beloved scripts in musical theater as she's just been cast in Steven Spielberg's adaptation of West Side Story.

Playbill reports that the dancer is joining the cast, which already includes Ansel Elgort in the lead role of Tony, newcomer Rachel Ziegler as Maria, Dear Evan Hansen's Mike Faist as Riff and Rita Moreno -- who won an Oscar for portraying Anita in the 1961 version of the film -- as Valentina, a fresh spin on the part of Doc.

As far as details go for Ziegler's character, Playbill notes that she's "a member of the Jets," and this could potentially mean she's playing Anybodys, the rough-and-tumble, persistent tomboy who begs to join the gang and fight alongside Riff, Tony and the rest of the guys.

We'll just have to wait and see, but one thing's for sure: Ziegler's a Jet, and she's a Jet all the way.
