The singer also did Lip Sync Karaoke with Jimmy Fallon.
Cher got this, babe. The legendary singer, actor and all-round entertainer Cher is the subject of The Cher Show, a musical currently wowing audiences on Broadway. On Monday night (April 15), the Oscar and Grammy winner dropped by The Tonight Show for a surprise walk-on performance of her Sonny & Cher classic "I Got You Babe."
The stars of the show, Micaela Diamond and Jarrod Spector, took us back in time with a cutesy rendition of the ‘60s tune before things took a unexpected turn. Just a minute into the performance, Cher strolled onto the stage and seamlessly replaced Diamond by Spector’s side.
Cher, rocking a fire engine-red wig and a sparkly black suit, also came out with host Jimmy Fallon to lip sync to a bunch of random New York bar patrons screeching "Believe" and recreated the famous Moonstruck slap during his monologue. The singer also revealed that she used to be terribly shy and still gets embarrassed to sing in front of strangers. Also, she told late ex-husband Sonny that she thought "I Got You Babe" wasn't very good when she heard it for the first time.
