Emeryld sends a message to her nonbelievers in her new music video for "Young," premiering exclusively on Billboard below.

"They say 'Are you trying to be someone? When you gonna be something?'/ I'll do it the way that I want/ I know my time will come, I'll be forever young," the Dallas native sings to her doubters.

Emeryld says people doubting her is a constant theme in her life -- from not being taken seriously because of her age, to questions over how she handles her career, the 21-year-old singer-songwriter tells Billboard. In "Young," Emeryld expresses that while people may tell her how to live her life, she "has nothing to prove" and "her time will come."

The fun, feel-good video stars Emeryld and a few of her friends in Brady Bunch-inspired tiles as they get ready and rock out to her personal anthem. Emeryld creatively directed and styled the video herself, wanting the video to focus on "the inner and outer beauty of the women in her life."

"Young" is the title track from the singer's second EP, which is set to be released this spring.
