Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend stopped by BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge on Thursday (March 21) to perform the song “Sunflower,” though probably not the version you’re thinking.

Rather than playing their own track “Sunflower,” off the band’s upcoming fourth album, Father Of The Bride, Ezra Koenig and company opted to cover Post Malone and Swae Lee’s No. 1 hit of the same name from the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse soundtrack.

“Then you’re left in the dust/Unless I stuck by ya/You’re a sunflower/I think your love would be too much,” crooned Koenig, transforming the glitchy chill of the original into a dreamy soundscape washed with keys, percussion and full backing vocals.

The band also performed a live version of their new single "Harmony Hall." Father Of The Bride is set to drop May 3 on Columbia Records.
