Black Keys Announce Extensive 2019 North American Tour

Special guest Modest Mouse will support the band on all dates.

The Black Keys are returning to the road with a 31-date 2019 North American tour. The Let’s Rock outing will kick off at Pepsi Center in Denver following the band’s headlining spot at Las Vegas’ Life is Beautiful festival on Sept. 21.

The tour will hit arenas in major cities including Chicago, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Austin before closing out in Vancouver at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena on Nov. 24. Special guests Modest Mouse will provide support on all dates, and Shannon & The Clams, *repeat repeat, and Jessy Wilson will each open select shows on the tour.

The duo was last seen on stage together at the 2015 Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco, Calif. and have yet to announce a new album despite dropping a surprise single, "Lo/Hi," on March 7.

The Black Keys recently debuted the song, the first new music from the band since their 2014 album, Turn Blue. “Lo/Hi” was written and produced by Black Keys members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and recorded at Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville.

Since their last album Auerbach formed the Easy Eye Sound record label, named after his Nashville studio, in 2017, with the release of his second solo album, Waiting on a Song. Easy Eye Sound has become home to a wide range of artists including Yola, Shannon & The Clams, Dee White, Sonny Smith, Robert Finley and more.

In recent years, Carney has produced and recorded new music with artists such as Calvin Johnson, Michelle Branch, Dams of the West, Tobias Jesso Jr., Tennis, *repeat repeat, Wild Belle, Sad Planets and more. He also created the theme music for the Netflix TV show BoJack Horseman with his late uncle, Ralph Carney.

Tickets for all dates go on sale to the general public beginning on March 22 at 10 a.m. local time here. The tour has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform to decrease the use of bots and scalpers during the onsale. Fans can register now through Sunday (March 17) at 10 p.m. EST here for the Verified Fan presale. Registered fans who receive a code will have access to purchase tickets before the general public on Thursday (March 19) at 10 a.m. local time through March 21 at 10 p.m. local time.
