Since breaking through the music scene with the Sting-sampling smash hit single “Lucid Dreams” last year, fans have been begging Juice WRLD for a follow-up to his debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance. At the end of January, the Chicago rapper announced that his sophomore record is finished and a week later, he announced Death Race for Love, which officially dropped just after midnight on Friday (Mar. 8).

Death Race for Love gives followers a lot of new material to dive into, with 22 tracks and only three features thanks to Young Thug, Clever and Brent Faiyaz. "March is the month I pick the WRLD up and turn it upside down," he proclaimed upon revealing the album in February.

“But the album is a little bit of everything,” Juice recently told Billboard of his experimental new album. “It’s not just rap, it’s not just rock, it’s not just jazz…it’s like a little bit of everything.” The record does, however, follow Juice's theme of angsty anthems, with a hint of a love struck twist. Previously released singles "Hear Me Calling" and "Robbery" are all on emo-rap brand, with characteristically vulnerable lyrics such as "She told me put my heart in the bag/And nobody gets hurt/Now I'm running from her love, I'm not fast/So I'm making it worse."
