What The Jonas Brothers Have Been Up to Since the Band's Split: A Timeline
Mid-2000s teens, your dreams have come true. The Jonas Brothers are back together and are releasing new music, starting with the first single, "Sucker," out Friday (Mar. 1).
"Sucker" is the first time the brothers have put out music together since 2013's "First Time" and "Pom Poms," which were dropped just months before the band announced their split in October 2013. The bombshell break up news came days before the trio were set to head out on tour and just before their upcoming fifth studio album (both of which ended up canceled). Rumors of a rekindling began back in January 2018, when the band randomly reactivated their Instagram account.

The trio decided to canceled their 19-city fall tour just days before it was scheduled to begin. "There is a deep rift within the band," the group's rep explained at the time. "There was a big disagreement over their music direction."

The Jonas Brothers officially confirmed their split and announced that the release of their fifth studio album, V, has been canceled. The record was to feature already-released singles "First Time" and "Pom Poms."

The siblings sat down with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, and spoke candidly about their breakup, with Nick mentioning that he "initiated" the parting ways. "We're family first, and that's always been our main priority, and so honesty within what we do as a group was really important," he explained. "I came to the table with the guys just before we were prepping to leave for tour, and I shared my heart with them, my feelings. In a nutshell, I said, ‘Look, I feel like we've had some complications within the group for a long time without addressing them. I think this train will fall off the tracks without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel as individuals in the group.' It was a tough conversation."
Nick Jonas began dating Olivia Culpo after the two reportedly met at the Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas. Jonas was the co-host of the pageant, alongside Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic. The romance was publicly confirmed a month later, when the singer and Miss Universe were photographed kissing while watching a tennis match at the U.S. Open in New York City. Culpo went on to star in Nick's "Jealous" music video.

Nick Jonas dropped his self titled solo album, Nick Jonas, which included "Chains" and his hit single "Jealous."
Kevin Jonas appeared on the 14th season of The Celebrity Apprentice, though he only lasted a few episodes. The season was Donald Trump's last as a host. Following his departure from the show, NBC gave Jonas a blog to recap episodes throughout the rest of the season.
Nick Jonas starred in the film Careful What You Wish For, an erotic thriller about Jonas' character's affair with the wife of an investment banker. A suspicious death and a life insurance policy throw his character into a scandal.
After two years of dating, Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo broke up. "I wish the best for her in the future and we had a great two years," Nick told E! News in an interview.
Joe Jonas starts dating Gigi Hadid. She later went on to co-direct the music video for DNCE's smash hit, "Cake by the Ocean". The couple made their red carpet debut as at Global Lyme Alliance inaugural gala in late 105, where Hadid’s mom, Yolanda Foster, was honored for her advocacy work. They broke up in November 2015, after five months.
Nick Jonas released a new single "Levels" as the lead single to the re-released version of his debut album, Nick Jonas X2. The tune peaked at No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Joe Jonas forms new band with his friends and former touring partners Jack Lawless, JinJoo Lee and Cole Whittle. The foursome released their debut single, "Cake by the Ocean." A month later, their debut extended play, Swaay, dropped, debuting at number seventy-nine on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
DNCE embarked on a 14-date Greatest Tour Ever. All scheduled dates for the tour sold out.
DNCE joined Selena Gomez as the opening act for her Revival Tour. They traveled with the songstress for her shows across North America and again for Oceania.

Nick appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where he touched on the Jonas Brothers' split and noted that he started the process of going separate ways. that he was actually the reason for the band’s split. "It was a very tough conversation and it left the family kind of shaken up for a while," he explained. "It's very exciting, it's good for everybody and good it happened because I think we all grew from it. But it was very challenging for a while."
Nick took on the big screen again, appearing in Goat, a drama about two brothers who pledge the same fraternity.

DNCE drops new single, "Kissing Strangers," with Nicki Minaj. The accompanying music video shows the band preparing for a night out, eventually making their way to a venue where they perform the frisky tune for the partygoers--featuring, of course, a lot of make out sessions.
Nick arrives at the Met Gala with Priyanka Chopra, posing for pictures together and sparking romance rumors. They were also photographed together later that night at Rihanna’s 1OAK after party.
Nick Jonas released "Remember I Told You," featuring Anne-Marie and Mike Posner.
