As part of Billboard's Black History Month celebration, we've asked Black artists spanning all genres to compile their own unique playlist exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. Each song they've chose represents their love for the culture across the diaspora -- from childhood favorites to songs that make them feel free. Today, Anthony Hamilton shares his soundtrack.

"Black History to me is a time to embrace who we are as people," Hamilton says. "To celebrate our greatness. A time for the world to show respects to the many things we've contributed to this world. Be Proud Mighty and Sure! These songs are songs that reflect back on moments that felt black and proud. Those childhood memories and the songs that got us through."

Following his performance of the National Anthem at the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in his hometown of Charlotte, N.C., Hamilton is gearing up for the release of his as-yet-untitled eighth studio album sometime this year.
