No one could possibly outshine Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper dueting on "Shallow." But Alicia Keys and James Corden make a surprisingly classy runner-up.

Keys guested on The Late Late Show on Wednesday night, where she unleashed some of her magic from behind the piano with some help from her host, James Corden.

Keys and Corden delivered a sweet and surprisingly touching version of the Star Is Born song, with the lyrics tweaked for the occasion.

It all makes sense. Keys will, of course, host this year's Grammys (and she owns a mine of Grammy silverware). Corden has hosted the event, twice. And Gaga just might rule on the night.

For their late-night performance, the odd couple hit the right note. “Tell me something, Keys, I hear you’re set to host this year’s Grammys,” the Brit sang. Keys responded, "Didn’t you host it twice? Maybe you could give me some advice.".
