Irish Duo All Tvvins Debut Inventive New Single 'Build A Bridge': Exclusive

All Tvvins have been building momentum these last few months with singles like "Hell of a Party" and "Infinite Swim." But the Irish duo has more in store for fans with the upcoming April 12 release of their sophomore album, Just to Exist, from which single "Build A Bridge" is premiering today (Jan. 31) exclusively on Billboard.

“Build A Bridge” opens with an enticing vocal loop that evolves throughout the song. The track transitions into a bold hook, and eventually reaches an irresistible groove.

"The main vocal hook had been something we tried working on a few times and had many different forms, we always knew it had something great about it but couldn't find the right vibe," All Tvvins guitarist Lar Kaye tells Billboard. "It's quite stripped back (instrument-wise) for an All Tvvins track; each sound and texture has its own space on guitar and I just wanted to evoke the imagery from Conor [Adams]'s lyrics. I really wanted make sure it all felt like movement. It's the track that captures the idea and feel of the whole record for me."

Conor Adams, the other half of the pop duo, says his lyrics were written to evoke an atmosphere rather than to make a specific statement.

"Sometimes a song will throw up a certain feeling and aesthetic before the words are even formed," says Adams. "In the case of 'Build A Bridge,' that image in my mind was something between the worlds of Thelma & Louise and No Country for Old Men. It felt somewhat dusty and hot. The words and fractured story are a reflection of that aesthetic and how I patched it together with my experiences, real and imagined."

Just one day after its release, All Tvvins will be premeiring Just To Exist with a hometown performance on April 13 at Dublin’s National Stadium. In addition to their Dublin release show, the band has announced a UK/European tour.
