Snoop Dogg is joining his buddy Matthew McConaughey in a Spring Breakers/The Big Lebowski type of crossover film, titled The Beach Bum.

The Harmony Korine movie stars McConaughey as the title's "bum" named Moondog, who is on a mission to write the next great American novel. Snoop contributes to the wacky adventures, and the star-studded cast includes Jonah Hill, Isla Fisher, Zac Efron, Jimmy Buffett and more.

Back in May, McConaughey told Jimmy Kimmel that Snoop pulled a prank on set, in which he replaced the "prop weed" with the real thing.

“We get to the scene, it’s a six-minute scene, we’re passing [the weed] back and forth," he explained. "All of a sudden at the end he goes, ‘Yo, Moondog’ — that’s my character — he goes, ‘That ain’t prop weed. That’s Snoop Weed.’ I went, ‘Oh, you son of a gun.’ Now the next nine hours were a lot of fun, but I don’t believe we used one word in the English language.”

“As I said to him the next day, ‘I got Snooped,'” the actor joked.

The Beach Bum will premiere in March at SXSW and then is available in theaters on March 22. In the meantime, watch the trailer below.
