Season 15 of The Voice concluded on NBC Tuesday night. Following Monday night’s final four performances, one artist was crowned the winner. After the nationwide vote, Team Kelly’s Chevel Shepherd won this season's competition.

Blake Shelton had two finalists, while Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson each had one. Adam Levine did not have any finalists this year, but he was still present for the live finale, which featured lots of performances and clips leading up to the big reveal. Coming in fourth place was Team Jennifer’s Kennedy Holmes. In third place was Team Blake’s Kirk Jay and Team Blake’s Chris Kroeze came in second place.

Kelly Rowland and season 15 finalist Kennedy Holmes kicked off the finale with a performance of “When Love Takes Over.” Her coach Hudson later called Holmes a “born star.”   In a clip, Hudson also noted that her artist reminds her of herself.

After a clip dedicated Team Blake finalist Kirk Jay, Rascal Flatts performed “Back to Life” with the country artist. Artists who were eliminated earlier in the season — Deandre Nico, Kymberli Joye, Patrique Fortson and MaKenzie Thomas — next covered “This Is It” by Kenny Loggins.

Shelton’s other finalist Chris Kroeze sang “Long Train Running” with the Doobie Brothers, and last season’s champion Brynn Cartelli debuted her new song “Last Night’s Mascara,” which she also co-wrote. The anthem, which Cartelli says showcases her "love for storytelling in a real, stripped down, raw way," is out everywhere now.

Later, other previous artists from the season — Abby Cates, Sara Grace and Reagan Strange — returned to sing “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga.

The Voice returns for a condensed 16th season in spring 2019.
