Lin-Manuel Miranda on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Dec. 17, 2018.

Jimmy Fallon is flying down to the Caribbean. In celebration of Lin-Manuel Miranda reprising his role as Alexander Hamilton for 24 performances of Hamilton in Puerto Rico, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will air a special telecast from the island on Jan. 15.

The episode will feature Miranda and shed light on the festive spirit and rich culture of Puerto Rico in the wake of the devastating hurricane that struck the island in September 2017. Additionally, a special Hamilton performance featuring Miranda and the new Puerto Rico touring cast will air.

The Puerto Rican Hamilton run will take over the U.S. territory from Jan. 8-27, 2019, at the Teatro UPR in San Juan. The proceeds will benefit Miranda's nonprofit, Flamboyan Arts Fund, which aims to strengthen arts and education in Puerto Rico.
