Zac Efron arrives at the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 7, 2018 in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Zac Efron took to Instagram on Thursday (Nov. 29) to share a photo from his upcoming film, in which he will portray infamous serial killer Ted Bundy.

“Ready for Sundance! #extremelywickedshockinglyevilandvile,” Efron captioned the photo.

Bundy, a law student, was convicted of the rape and murder of several women and executed on Jan. 24, 1989 in Florida. While he confessed to 30 homicides between 1973 and 1978, the real number is unknown.

The film is told through the perspective of Bundy’s girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, portrayed by Lily Collins. Bundy and Kloepfer met in 1969 while she was a secretary at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Collins also took to Instagram to share her excitement at making the lineup for the Sundance Film Festival. “The #SundanceFestival lineup has just been announced and I’m so proud to be included!” she wrote. “Here’s a glimpse of the film @zacefron and I worked with @joeberlingerfilms and our incredible team, “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.” Here we go!….”

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
