The 1975

The 1975 are riding a high.

The British pop-rock faves’ self-titled first album hit No. 1 in their homeland back in 2013. Three years later, their critically-lauded sophomore effort arrived, I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So. It too went to the summit of the U.K. chart and gave the band their first Billboard 200 chart leader.

Today sees the release of Matty Healy and Co.’s third full-length recording, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, which includes the first single "Give Yourself A Try.” Will it go for glory?

Frontman Matt Healy spoke with Billboard about the new album, his troubles with heroin in the months leading up, and his recovery, themes that are tackled on the new LP. “I don’t have things that I want to write about that aren't exactly what I feel day by day,” he explained. “The problem I have now is that this is my truth, and I feel like I can’t negotiate properly with the world if I can’t tell the truth.”

The wait for album No. 4 shouldn’t drag out. Notes on a Conditional Form is slated to arrive in May 2019. Stream A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships below.
