Kim Porter is seen arriving to Tom Ford Women's Fall/Winter 2018 fashion show during New York Fashion Week at Park Avenue Armory on Feb. 8, 2018 in New York City.

Dallas Austin took to Instagram to honor his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, and revealed that his relationship with the late model inspired the romance in the 2002 film Drumline.

"we were inseparable I feel like a part of my soul has has been taken away," the music producer wrote alongside a photo of the couple as prom dates. "most people don’t know that Zoe Saldana played the role of Kim in “drumline” as nick cannon played my character ..we saw purple rain 15times in the theater and if you knew her you knew a strong beautiful smiling gangster angel."

Porter died on Nov. 15 in her Los Angeles home at the age of 47 and was laid to rest in her hometown of Columbus, Ga., on Sunday (Nov. 24). Her cause of death is unknown.

I know GOD is perfect but sometimes even perfect can make a mistake --I send prayers out to the kids and our family and my brother @diddy this is a hard one but we will get though it love you @ladykp ----------------❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
