Kim Porter to be Buried in Georgia; Cause of Death Deferred

Kim Porter's funeral will take place on Saturday in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, a week after the 47 year-old model was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Nov. 15, according to Georgia's Ledger-Enquirer. More than 1,200 people are expected to attend the service at the Cascade Hills megachurch. The paper reported that an autopsy was completed on Nov. 16, but the cause of death has been deferred, pending additional investigation.

"On Nov. 16, an autopsy was performed on Porter," read a statement from a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office on Monday (Nov. 19). "The cause of death was deferred pending additional tests. Porter's body has since been released from our facility." Police were called to Porter's Toluca Lake, California, home on Nov. 15 after a call of a woman found unresponsive.

Porter was the mother to three of Diddy's children and Puff has been sharing his grief in public by posting a few tribute clips, including one from the Bad Boy CEO on Monday that commemorated  Kim's love of dance. "She loved to dance," he wrote alongside a short heartwarming video of Porter. "Thank you to everybody for your prayers and support. God is the greatest. He woke you up to see another day. Please don’t take it for granted. Let’s go people." On Sunday (Nov. 18), Diddy reportedly hosted a private memorial at his Bel-Air home to honor Kim Porter's life.
