Mac Miller's 'GO:OD AM' Is Certified Gold

Mac Miller's third studio album, GO:OD AM, has been certified gold by the by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), reflecting 500,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. It’s the rapper's second gold-certified album.

One equivalent album unit, as recognized by the RIAA, is equal to: one album sale, 10 tracks sold from an album, or 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video streams from an album. The RIAA revamped its Gold & Platinum Awards Program on Feb. 1, 2016, growing from a pure album sales certification process to one that includes tracks and streams.

The album was released in 2015 peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, includes Miller favorites including "100 Grandkids" and "Weekend," featuring Miguel. The status comes three months after the rapper died at age 26.
