Michael Buble has had a rough couple years, but he appeared on James Corden's latest episode of Carpool Karaoke to turn the negativity to a good cause.

The crooner partnered with Stand Up to Cancer U.K. to help raise funds for cancer research, and the full drive with Corden will be broadcast on the U.K.’s Channel 4 on Friday at 7 p.m. The partnership comes a year after Buble's devastating news that his 4-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with cancer. "My whole life ended," the singer tearfully recalled, before calling his son a "real superhero."

On a lighter note, the duo jammed out to some of Buble's biggest hits and even partook in a scat contest with Corden's father. The Grammy-winning singer's eighth studio album, Love, is due out on Nov. 16. Watch the emotional Carpool Karaoke episode below.
