There’s only one Tom Morello. But you can learn from the master.

With his distinctive sound, technical prowess and political fire, Morello has wielded the axe for Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage and Bruce Springsteen and, along the way, earned a reputation as one of the best in the business.

Now, for the first time, the U.S. musician is sharing his electric guitar talents exclusively through the MasterClass platform.

Morello’s classes are online at www.masterclass.com/tm, where the guitar ace teaches a range of skills, from shaping riffs and building a wall of sound, to unleashing that inner beast. The U.S. rocker's sessions are targeted at all guitar students, from self-taught  hobbyists to hopeful professionals.

“With guitar playing, there is a combination of rhythm, feedback, melody, ferocity, improvisation, otherworldly sounds and rock power that when done right, you feel in it the reptilian DNA of humanity,” Morello says in a statement. “I wanted to teach a guitar class that will make your playing meaningful to you. In my MasterClass, I will provide the building blocks for every student to create an authentic, artistic self on the electric guitar.”

Adds Matthew Rutler, senior vice president of talent and business development at MasterClass: “His brilliant talent rings through in each and every lesson of his MasterClass as he shares his craft and inspires students with his signature style, passion for making powerful music, and unorthodox philosophy.”

Entry is priced at $90 for lifetime access, or $180 each year for the All-Access Pass, which offers unlimited access to all new and existing classes. Each session includes video lessons, interactive exercises, learning materials, workbooks and more.

Founded in 2015 with the mission to provide "access to genius,” MasterClass runs 40 classes deep. The likes of Armin van Buuren and Deadmau5, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Reba McEntire, Herbie Hancock and Hans Zimmer have hosted courses on process, technique and philosophies. Morello's class is the first to focus on guitar.
