Shane

LA-based alt-pop artist Shane returns with the new single “Trick,” out Friday (Oct. 19). The track features the 23-year-old's silky-smooth vocals, including three-part harmonies over the pairing of the slow groove of a piano and a synth beat. “Trick” comes as the first single since his debut EP Sad, released in 2016.

Shane has become a rising star through his viral music videos, including the video for "Insecure," which has more than 4 million hits and counting on YouTube. The humorous video paired with his captivating vocals has amassed huge praise from viewers. It’s clear that Shane is unapologetically himself in his songs and his videos, with a clear artistic direction in his personally written and co-produced songs and satirical music videos. With more than 18 million combined views of his music videos on Facebook and YouTube, it's clear young fans are loving his authentic and honest music.

Shane is very open in sharing the motivation behind his new single and says, “I like to write songs with an unpopular message packaged in a pop song. 'Trick' is about ghosting someone I love, and acknowledging the flaws in myself and how I deal with relationships.”

Today, Shane releases a stripped-down lyric video for his new single “Trick,” in which he sings in front of a mirror as the lyrics scroll by behind him. Listen to the powerful new track below and stay tuned for his upcoming EP, set to release in spring 2019.
